What to expect for Cotton Patch Gravel Grinder?

  • Check in starts at 6:00 am on September 21st at Landon Winery at 2408 Lee St in Downtown Greenville.
  • Ride starts at 7:30 am for all distances right after the opening ceremony.
  • Alternate rain routes have been selected in case of inclement weather. Final routes will be announced the morning of the ride.
  • All distances go through the Sabine River bottom south of Greenville. A combination of gravel and hard surface with a small sandy section coming out of the bottom area. 
  • All distances have 1 common rest stop at the intersection of CR 3128 and CR 3115. This rest stop will also serve as the second stop for all routes because all routes loop back to this rest stop. The 57-mile will have an additional rest stop at the intersection of CR 1142 and CR 1136.
  • SAG truck will be available near the rest stop and will come equipped with air pumps. 
  • Streamlined check-in process with BikeReg via QR code.
  • No stress with timed rides. This is a leisure ride. Come and just enjoy. Go as fast or slow as you like.

  • Rides of 31, 42, or 57 miles. Rain routes are 34 miles, 48 miles, or 62 miles.

  • Helmets required.
  • Rest stops stocked with water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, and GU Energy items.
  • Plenty of room to gather post ride with others and share your experience with friends.
